About Us

OHS JROTC is a student centered leadership program. The mission of Army Junior ROTC is "To Motivate Young People to Be Better Citizens."  OHS JROTC has been a part of Ooltewah High School since 1981.

Special Teams

The OHS JROTC Program offers cadets a number of opportunities to participate in after school activities. Special Teams include:

Color Guard
Drill Team
Raider Team
Rifle Team

History

OHS JROTC was established as an independent program in 1983.  Since then the Program has expanded to include its own building with classroom space, a computer lab and portable computer lab, dedicated classrooms and assembly hall.  The JROTC Program has a rappelling tower and a confidence course.
