Special Teams:

The Ooltewah High School Owl Battalion is represented by four very distinctive special teams the Color Guard, Raider Team, Drill Team, and the Rifle Team. Each team competes in various events in which they win  numerous awards, but at the same time continue to display the school pride that is incorporated into the JROTC program here at Ooltewah High.

   Color Guard:

As pictured below the Color Guard here at Ooltewah provides a valuable service to their to the community by participating in local events far outside of the football arena. Raider Team:

The true picture of physical fitness, a Raider. Raiders truly represent what we like to call PT, or Physical Training Junkies. Whether it be completing a rope bridge or running to extreme to finish a Equipment Relay on time, the Raiders push their bodies to the limit and in many instances go even farther.

Drill Team:

The Drill Team at Ooltewah embodies everything that has to do with precision, cunning and skill. The Drill Team is a true master of marching technique whether it be in a platoon, in a squad, or in a exhibition routine. Ooltewahs Drill Team has won countless trophies and awards that are displayed proudly along the walls of the JROTC building.

Rifle Team:

Accuracy and Silence the two attributes of almost every Rifle Team member here at Ooltewah High School. Ooltewahs Rifle Team excels at firing Co2 powered rifles at targets the size of a silver dollar. Such a high level of accuracy is gained over time as members learn to correctly use the firearm assigned to them.
